Based off the character profiles on either side of certain pages of the official episode guides, this project rounds the number of character guides out to over 1,000 characters from the last 35 or so seasons (including groups for simplicity) The core cast appears first, followed by supporting characters (including character groupings) in order of appearance on the show. After that come tertiary characters, some of which are less well-known but were tried out but never really took off. Others, like Poochie or Mr. Sparkle, appeared more regularly off-show. The more recent groups—those added in the last ten or so years—as well as one-offs and guest stars complete the lineup.

Discarded:
̶I̶n̶v̶i̶s̶i̶b̶i̶l̶i̶t̶y̶: Nothing to do with the invisibility because that wouldn't make sense in the episode. Bart won't turn like Waylon Smithers in the third segment of "Treehouse of Horror II", where Mr. Burns, who wants a human brain for his robot, imagines Smithers as an invisible man with a floating visible brain. So it won't be any invisibility in "Bart's Brain".
Possible:
"Bart the Genius" 2.0: It could be a modern version or a sequel of classic season 1 episode "Bart the Genius" (1990) but without the green-skinned naked Bart.
"Brother's Little Helper" 2.0: It could be a modern version of season 11 episode "Brother's Little Helper" (1999) with more focusyns.
Apathetic Bart: It could be about a Bart without any emotion, similar to Timmy Turner in The Fairly OddParents episode "Emotion Commotion!".
Inside Out spoof: It could be a parody of 2015 Disney-Pixar animated movie Inside Out, as well as its 2024 sequel featuring personified emotions administering Bart and his thoughts and actions.
For now nothing is known, we will wait until spring to know the real and official synopsis of "Bart's Brain".
Are seasons 32 33 and 34 couch gags chopped liver?
